Why resistance bands changed my home workout game (and might change yours too)
Published: February 22, 2026
Been using resistance bands for 6 months now and honestly wish I'd started sooner. Here's what I learned:
Space efficiency is unreal - My entire gym setup fits in a drawer. No more excuses about not having room for equipment.
Progressive overload actually works - You can adjust resistance by changing grip position, band tension, or combining multiple bands. I've seen real strength gains.
Door anchor = game changer - Suddenly you have anchor points at different heights. High pulls, low rows, chest presses - basically a cable machine anywhere.
The versatility surprised me most. I can hit every muscle group, and the constant tension feels different (better?) than free weights for some exercises.
TL;DR: Resistance bands with door anchor give you a full gym in a small package. Great for home workouts, travel, or supplementing regular training.
Anyone else using bands as their primary equipment? What's your favorite exercise with them?
