PSA: Stop fumbling with your phone while driving - here's what actually works

After going through 4 different car phone mounts, I finally found what makes the difference:

Key insights from my testing:

1. Magnetic beats clips/grips - No more wrestling your phone in and out. One-handed operation is a game changer for safety.

2. 360° rotation is essential - Portrait for calls, landscape for GPS. Fixed mounts are basically useless for modern phone usage.

3. Strong magnets won't hurt your phone - Tested with multiple devices over 6 months. No interference with wireless charging or GPS.

The mount I settled on has been rock solid for highway driving and city stop-and-go. Phone stays put even on rough roads.

TL;DR: Magnetic mounts with full rotation solve the car phone problem. Strong magnets are safe for phones and way more convenient than traditional clips.
